Michael Cousins, Sr.

Michael Cousins, Sr. made his grand entrance into heaven on April 8, 2024. He was born on January 18, 1963. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Helen Cousins; brother, Keith Cousins; two sisters, Helen, and Julie Cousins; grandparents, Thomas, and Elsie Robinson, and Victor, and Fannie Cousins.

Michael graduated from John Marshall High School in 1982 and shortly after enlisted into the army. He retired from the military after over 20 years of service. He loved to go fishing, play cards and spending time with his family and friends.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Ashley (Travis) Sherman; two sons, Michael, Jr. and Marc Anthony Cousins; two grandchildren, Nora, and Nile Sherman; four brothers, Gilbert, Larry, John, and Sherwood Cousins; two sisters, Sharon (Maurice) Lewis and Wendy (Curtis) White; two aunts, Mable Tyler, and Daisy Cousins; eight nephews, six nieces; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other family members, and friends, including two best friends, John Miller and Troy Massenburg, and a dear devoted family friend, Maggie Benton.

A viewing will be held from 1 - 6 .m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA, where funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024.  

Interment, with military honors, will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. 

The family is receiving services of comfort from Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA.
